The goal of the puzzle is to separate a metal hoop from where it is embedded in the wooden cube. The cube measures 4.25 inches. Each side has sixteen holes. Some of the holes have channels between them. The ring can move along the outside surface of the puzzle and has a gap which allows it to slide along certain channels. But there are obstacles in the way of the ring throughout the puzzle in the form of wood pegs as well as non-movable metal rings. Guide the ring around these channels and it is set free. But this is not as easy as it sounds.
Like all of the finest puzzles, Labyrinth 4D looks deceptively simple but in reality is stealthily difficult. Just as soon as you think you're on the right course you reach an impasse and have to start anew.
