Instructions (English)

Light means life, and many of the processes of life are influenced by both the general amount of natural light available and its intensity.
When we are deprived of natural light, many of us experience unpleasant side-effects such as lack of drive and melancholia, what some people call the autumn/winter 'blues', and even depression - symptoms with which many of you are only too familiar.
Remember that happy feeling you have in the summer, with the sun's energy flowing through your body? That feeling is often lost by many people in the Autumn and Winter, the seasons with the least sunlight, and these unpleasant effects of light deprivation are increased, often to the point where many people feel their whole quality of life is adversely affected.
Standard artificial lighting in buildings cannot compensate for a possible shortage of light, but light therapy with the Light Therapy unit offers an effective way to make up for this lack of light, without medication.
Light Therapy must be administered regularly over a sustained period (on a daily basis for 1 week) and should be consumed in addition to daylight and artificial lighting.
The length of time devoted to the therapy depends on your position and how close you are to the light source. The closer you are to the light, the shorter the time you should spend on the light therapy. It is recommended that in the darkest part of the year you use your Lite Pad daily for about 15 - 60 minutes, repeating the treatment for at least 7 consecutive days, or for longer if required.
You can use your SAD Lamp while you engage in various activities, such as reading, writing, making telephone calls, computing, etc. However, make sure you are are always in the vicinity of the light source.
The additional light you take in from the Lite Pad Plus in the darkest part of the year increases the amount of light to which you are exposed, with positive effects on your mood and general wellbeing.
With a SAD Lamp, you can treat yourself to light therapy whenever you feel like it. Now, that happy feeling you have in the summer, with the sun's energy flowing through your body, needn't just be a memory - You can now recreate it at home in the darkest days of winter too, with all the beneficial effect this will have on your whole quality of life and emotional wellbeing.
